Start
The race officially begins on Sunday at 10:00 am on the B3 in Emmersdorf near the recreational center.
From Emmersdorf to Krems
On the one hand, the running route in the WACHAU is popular and appreciated by thousands of amateur runners due to its flat topography, as there is hardly an easier and faster route than the one between Emmersdorf and Krems.
Beginners in particular appreciate it when not a single hill or even mountain towers up during a running event and these ideal topographical conditions make it easier for them to achieve their own personal running goals.
On the other hand, the WACHAUmarathon also offers performance-oriented runners the perfect framework for a fast race.
The Wachau course is therefore particularly conducive to personal best performance.
The start of the marathon on the B3 in Emmersdorf at the level of the leisure center takes place at the same time as the half marathon at 10:00 a.m.
The running route runs downstream on the B3 to Weitenegg, where a loop is covered, before the route after the turn of the Danube follows the B3 along via Spitz to Krems. The loop in the city of Krems can no longer be mastered by the marathon runners, but you run straight to the finish in Krems!
Transponder timing
All runners need a time measurement chip, which you will receive with your race number bip..
